I work with a guy who is also running the Oakland Marathon. I should clarify what I mean by “also.” I am running the half. He is running the full. His goal is to finish in the top ten. Overall.
The other day he asked me how my training was going. Answer – it’s not. It was going really well. I felt great last week and nailed all of my runs. But then we went out of town. As soon as we got back I got sick. And I haven’t been able to kick this thing.
I went to yoga once this week and felt like I was in a fog the whole time. I even did the wrong pose at one point. (Talk about embarassing.) It wasn’t exactly the March Yogathon kick-off I was hoping for.
I haven’t run since last Wednesday, and I’m kind of worried that I won’t remember how. I’m also kind of freaking out about this setback with less than a month between me and the marathon.
